Emily Hearts Higher Living

If you’re like me then you love a good brew. I recently received four boxes of tea from Gloucestershire based connoisseurs Higher Living,  so I thought I’d tell you all about it! My tea haul includes a coconut green tea, a power tea and two rooibos numbers. The flavours suit a typical roller coaster of a busy working day – starting with the power tea in the morning. I won’t sugarcoat it, this tea is strong! Containing natural ingredients such as gingko, ginseng and yerba maté with an aniseed whiff about it, this tea hits your boost button hard. I made the rookie mistake of drinking one in the afternoon and couldn’t sit still for hours, so I would only recommend it for a sluggish morning or before a workout. The coconut green tea is much more suitable for an afternoon sip, I enjoy it around 3pm once lunch had become little more than a memory. I find regular green tea a little bland, so the welcome addition here of coconut with a touch of lychee adds a little zip of flavour which is slightly sweet and highly delicious. The two rooibos teas from sister brand Kromland Farm make delicious evening drinks, rooibos being naturally caffeine free. I’ve been sipping the delicious organic berry which is strong and fruity and the organic early grey. The latter actually makes a great morning drink too, particularly as a substitute for the power tea if you’re not in need of an energy boost. Have you tried any teas from Higher Living? Let me know what drinks usually tickle your fancy throughout the day in the comments section below. Happy shopping!
