Blogger Interview series!

afternoon tea This is the first interview in my exciting new blogger/ vlogger interview series. I’m so excited to share it with you. First up in the series is the lovely Sophie from Petals of Perfection. A brilliant blog that I have loved reading and watch grow in the past few months. Hope you enjoy it, let me know what you think in the comments below. Happy Reading!   1. Could you start by telling us a bit about yourself and your blog. Hi, I’m Sophie, I’m 17 (nearly 18 *dances*) and I run a beauty, lifestyle and fashion blog called Petals of Perfection! The majority of my posts are beauty related, but I have more lifestyle and fashion posts planned for the future 🙂 I am obsessed with make up (who isn’t?!) and YouTubers! I am going to be going to university in september, to study advertising and marketing and I’m hopefully going to do a placement year in that time as well…. a very stressful few years ahead… pray for me haha! 2. How long have you been blogging for and what inspired you to start it? I have been blogging since 2013 and it was the best decision I have EVER made! I had thought about blogging for a good year or two, after being inspired by other bloggers; Zoe Sugg, DollyBowBow, Velvetgh0st to name a few, and I finally thought ‘why not?!’. It’s nice to be able to answer someone when they ask what my hobbies are. haha! I have made so many new friends through blogging, as well as so many new opportunities being opened to me! I’ve been able to work with companies and other bloggers… which has really helped with my people/communication skills. 3.What’s the best thing about having your blog/ youtube channel? I just love having my little place online… I love being able to write about what I want to write about… and I have complete freedom! 4. What’s your top tips for budding bloggers? Engage with your followers/encourage interaction: Whether that is replying to comments, or tweeting people. Join in with blog chats and interact with as many people as possible! You can make some really good friends, as well as find out what people would like to read about…. so in a way, it’s a bit like market research! Also connect your blog with Bloglovin’ so it is easy for people to follow/find your blog! I have written about all my main blogging tips and tricks over here 5. What does a normal day look like for you? A normal weekday for me is pretty boring if I’m honest… to be fair, so are weekends as well haha! On a weekday, I wake up at 6:30am and I go to school, sometimes only for a few hours… then I’d come home and do more work (if I’m feeling motivated, which is very rare) then I’d have a pretty relaxed night by winding down with Youtube! The weekend is basically the same! I’m at a point in my life where I have to work all the time… there’s no time for rest! 6. Who’re your biggest style influences? I love Fearne Cottons style and Zoe Suggs style… but I would NEVER be able to pull off what they wear haha (In my dreams more like!) 7. Who are your favourite bloggers/vloggers? Bloggers I love: http://www.elisedopson.com/ http://www.joiedejodie.com/ http://hannahdelacour.blogspot.co.uk/ Vloggers I love: https://www.youtube.com/user/PlanetGabb https://www.youtube.com/user/ThatcherJoe (and his vlogging channel) https://www.youtube.com/user/HobbieStuartMusic https://www.youtube.com/user/PointlessBlogTv https://www.youtube.com/user/MoreZoella  8. What are your three favourite beauty products right now? The Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette … I wrote about it over here  The Makeup Revolution Iconic 2 palette… which I wrote about over here The Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara… which was featured in my February Favourites  9. What lip product have you got in your hand bag right now? I never leave the house without my Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Lip Protectant! It is a must have!  10. What are your three fashion essentials? I think that every wardrobe needs a pair of black skinny jeans, strappy tops and the baggiest hoodie possible… comfort before fashion haha!  11. What music are you listening to right now? I have been loving Hobbie Stuart’s covers/original songs on YouTube and I love Zoe Sugg’s ‘Dance like nobody’s watching’ playlist on Spotify!
