I’m off to Berlin next week with my husband as it’s our wedding anniversary – three years, how did that even happen. The weather is getting colder so I’ve put together a few things that might be nice to wear for this special trip away.
1. First up is this gorgeous red and black skirt from H and M, it’s the star style of skirt for the season and the print of this one is so pretty. It will go perfectly with a black t-shirt or an all in one and a leather jacket.
2. Next up is this gorgeous long sleeve black and white spot dress from New Look. In the Autumn I live in these dresses with heels and a cute cardigan or jacket. This one is perfect for walking around the city, and exploring, teamed with some trainers.
3. Next up is this gorgeous Ted Baker dress. I love the Kyoto Gardens pattern and the style, it’s so effortless to wear. Teamed with a pair of heels and a pale jacket it’s perfect for a wedding but teamed with cardi or a leather jacket and some heels. This outfit is perfect for an anniversary meal.
4. I saw someone wearing a beautiful and unique pair of Converse on the train the other day. I spend most of my time running errands, and walking a lot of miles especially when exploring a new city like Berlin so this black leather pair of Converse with white soles seemed perfect. They’ll go with everything.
5. Debenhams shoe hall is full of amazing designer dupes. I love these Faith lace up boots particularly as they’re really fab dupes for the Gucci heels that are everywhere right now. They’ll go with skirts and jeans and see you right through Winter too. Bonus!
6. Finally I’ve been looking for a red bag for the last few months that would go with my wardrobe and I think this might be the one. As I’ve said before red is going to be big this season, so this Belsize bag from Hobbs with it’s cross strap and its smaller size will be great for travelling as well as every day use.
Have you been loving any of the items in this weeks wish list? Let me know in the comments below or over on my Twitter.
In the past few weeks I’ve seen some really beautiful fashion items and I’ve popped a few of my favourites into a wish list. I want them all and I’ve already bought a few already. 1. The first piece is a gorgeous rose gold Diamond oval bracelet from Links of London. This piece was originally £180 and it’s now down to £54. It’s beautifully delicate and so ideal for special occasions. 2. I’ve been looking for a dress for an up and coming family wedding and this Louche Luxe Jerrica Printed and Embroidered Dress from Joy The Shop might be the one for the day. The pattern is incredible and with a pair of heels, the right bag and an up-do, this dress will wedding perfect! 3. I’m all about the stars this season and when I saw these Star Print Shorts from Zara they shouted holiday evening time and that’s great because I’m going on holiday to Mexico in just a few weeks and that star print is so cute. Perfect! 4. I love Converse at the moment. I recently bought the Office original rose gold pair that featured in a past wish list. When I bought them I also saw these other original gorgeous deep Silver Converse trainers and had to try them on. They really suit just everything! 5. If you’ve been reading Emilyhearts for a while you’ll know that I love Bees because of my surname which means ‘bee friend’ or ‘bee keeper’ Latvian so when I saw this Valley of the dolls Bumblebee print t-shirt I loved it straight away. It’s so pretty but so wearable for everyday over a pair of jeans, but you can always dress it up with a pretty midi skirt and a great pair of heels. Perfect! 6. I’ve loved the dresses from Silk Fred for such a long time and when I saw this Josephine Frock with the draped shoulders I knew I had to pop i into a wish list. Its perfect for date night or a wedding anniversary holiday. It’s simple but so gorgeous. Let me know what you’ve been loving recently and what you think of the pieces I picked out in the comments below. Happy Shopping!
This little summery set up was right next to the church in town, and it’s one that I love going past so I had to take a picture. I love how bright the red flowers are and the mismatching cutlery. Monday can sometimes come too soon, especially if you’ve enjoyed the weekend thoroughly so it’s good to great the beginning of the week with a cheery greeting. Hello Monday, what will you bring me? I was ill quite a bit of this week with a cold etc and missed out on dancing, zumba and running. I was picked to go and review a coffee scrub for @ReallyRee an her site at Harvey Nichols in London so after work, I hopped onto a train and went into the city. I love experiencing now things and new places and Hyde Park isn’t a place that I’ve explored too much so I bought some salad for dinner and went to look for somewhere to sit and eat in the evening heat and I can across this beautiful little rose garden. I happened to look on the floor and saw that I was standing right on one of the many markers for the Princess Diana memorial walks. Seven miles of beautiful walks around the city and the marker just happened to match my new rose gold Converse trainers. It was a picture using to be taken. I had a little nose around Harvey Nicks, and came across this gorgeous Alexander Mcqueen dress. It has lipsticks, skulls, ballerinas, lips, butterflies and many more items on and I saw that they also have a silk shirt in the same print too. So pretty and so Mcqueen! I went for more of a look around Hyde Park once my appointments were over in Harvey Nicks. There are so many monuments and cool statues just waiting to be photographed. This one is Wellington Arch with its four horses and the very first Duke of wellington with wings. Did you know that it’s arch was the original entrance to Buckingham Palace and it now sits in the middle of a traffic island. I love the mystical feel n the garden part of the park and there’s something to look at where ever you go here too. I must explore Hyde Park more in the future. Theres so much more to see. What have you been up to this week? Let me know in the comments below. Happy Sunday!
New Look and using their style on tour hub I picked out a few of items. A comfortable pair of shoes is the first and maybe one of the most important items that you’ll need when you are on a city break. There are so many places to see so you’ll want to take a tour out and explore your chosen city. My chosen pair was the white leather converse, which are comfortable and so cool too as they go with absolutely everything. Hopefully your chosen city break will be hot and sunny so a pair of your favourite sunglasses is a must. This pair of sunnies is the Grey Tortoiseshell Top Bar sunglasses from New Look and they’re a complete bargain price of £5.99. I love the tinted lenses in these too, such an awesome colour and it adds a cool twist to every outfit. When I’m away abroad, I find that I tend to wear quite light and bright tops as it will keep you cool too. I chose this pale blue plaited trim jersey vest from New Look as it’s really light weight and fresh. It also a great price and comes in a range of colours so you can get a few. A great maxi dress is perfect to through on when walking around the city as it’s light and easy to wear. It’s also simple to look put together, and it will take you from day to evening really well too. I chose this white ditsy floral print front tie waist maxi dress as it’s really pretty. An added bonus with maxi dresses I found especially when I was in Venice is that it helps keep away the mosquitos at night without you having to put trousers on too. When you’re on a city break and exploring, the last item you need is a good staple bag. One that goes with every outfit and is big enough for a little money, your phone, suncream and a little make up and one that zips up because you don’t want to be caught out by pick pocketers. I brought along this gorgeous Vivienne Westwood bag and it ticks all those boxes. What items do you love to take on your city breaks? I’d love to know in the comments below. Happy Holidays! *in collaboration with New Look
This time of year when the weather doesn’t know what it’s doing that you might need a few additions to your wardrobe. I’ve put together some of the things I’ve been lusting after this month. 1. Karl Largerfeld K/Shopper Saffiano £245 I’m loving Karl Largerfeld products at the moment. It’s those cute characters that have me going back to them and this little robot is one of the cutest. Light pink is the chosen IT colour of the season and it just goes with everything. I just love pastel colours, I can’t get enough. 2. Glamorous top in watercolour Blossom print. £15 I love the warm bright colours in this top. The deep pink and yellow with the gold detailing stand out and are very different from any other tops that are out at the moment. It’s pretty and so in too. You could team this with the Converse and black jeans for a toned down look but add a pair of black heels and you have an instant going out look. 3. White Lace Ladder Trim Skater Dress £39.99 As I’ve mentioned before I love pastels and white for the Spring/Summer season and there’s plenty of these products about at the moment. I’ve been after a gorgeous lace look dress so when I saw this pop onto the New Look site, it became an instant must have. I just love everything about it and it also reminds me of Self – Portrait dresses too. 4. Marks and Spencers Belted Mac with stormwear £45 This pink rain jacket is a great one for this time of the year. It’s warm yet it’s light weight and very stylish. With the weather not being able to make up it’s mind what it’s doing I’m always wearing the wrong kind of coat and outfit. I’m always either too hot and don’t wear one or too cold and try to add more layers. This light weight jacket would allow you to stay covered in the rain yet stay cool on those warmer day before the summer is really here. What would we do without it?! 5. Women’s glider harmony Skechers £49.99 I’ve had some pink running trainers for a little while now. I run, dance and do a little bit of yoga with a mixture of indoor and outdoor activities, it’s a good idea to have two different pairs. These Skechers from Mastershoe are so fun as they have bright eyelets yet they’re great base colour to go with active outfits. I don’t know about you but I love fitness wear and I love to co-ordinate so these will be perfect. 6. White leather Converse £55 I’ve been after a pair of Converse for a while but I’ve never found the right pair until now. These white leather ones will be easier to look after, and to keep clean. Just wipe over with a cloth when needed and they’re perfect for teaming with and styling down any outfit. What are you loving this season? Let me know in the comments below. Happy shopping! * I was asked to pop the Skechers by Mastershoe into this post but I would anyway, I love Skechers!
