One of my lovely friends that I work with brought in these beautiful purple/pink hydrangeas. she had them in a vase on her desk as the plant that they came from had collapsed from the weight of the flowers on it. They made me smile every time I went into her office. This picture is a little throw back to last weekend as I had so many pictures that I took. We had so much fun eating chips in tomato sauce and drinking a good old brew at West Mersea. As it grew later into the evening it was clear that the tide was going out as extra islands were appearing so we decided to walk out on one and take a picture. We made extra sure that we kept an eye on what the tide was doing though so we didn’t get caught out and trapped. I love this little church in the town centre. There’s a little market inside and a beautiful little cafe too. There’s always a bargain to be found here. On Saturday evening we popped down to the Courthouse Sports bar. It actually was court rooms and the main decoration and plinths had been eft in the room for authenticity. They had several tv’s around the room too so we could watch the cricket, and two football matches. Earlier in the day, I’d popped into H and M to have a look at holiday wear and saw this beaut of a playsuit. It’s lightweight and so pretty. I love the colour and the pattern. I’m still searching for a dress for a family wedding that is rapidly approaching. Eek, only 3 more weeks to go. On my travels I came across this cute Michael Kors bag that tops the rucksack trend. What a beaut! I went into Karen Millen to check the last of the sales and came across this little beaut of a dress that just happened to be in my size. It even has pockets. Still deciding but it’s between this one and another. Let me know what you think in the comments below. Happy Sunday!
Blossoming Gifts, I just had to accept the offer as I was intrigued by how gorgeous the flowers looked. Surely they can’t be that beautiful in real life I thought. I was sent the peonies bouquet and the beautiful flowers arrived just in time for a barbecue that we were having. The full bloomed flowers where a gorgeous white with an accent of deep pink and they filled our living room with the most amazing scent. I received so many complements on them. Blossoming Gifts have decided to collaborate with me on a give away so look out for that coming really soon. In the mean time they’ve also decided to give my lucky readers a 33% off discount. Just pop the following code in the vouchers box when you’re at the checkout.BGIFTS33 Let me know you thoughts on Blossoming Gifts in the comments below. Happy shopping!
There were some really yummy cakes in the office this week. These were cranberry and lemon although not together, that would be kind of interesting. I’m off to Venice this week but I got excited and had to post this amazing picture of the main canal. They’ll be posts on my blog on Instagram and Twitter while I’m there and they’ll be some blog posts when I’m home so keep an eye out. I can’t get enough of gorgeous flowers so loved these gorgeous ones from Sainsbury’s. Take a look. One of my friends from work wore these fabulous Star Wars shoes and they deserved an Instagram posts. How cool! I got a new hair cut this week. I had a good 5 inches cut off and man does it feel good and it looks pretty good too. I love daisies so loved this sea of daisies just down the road from me. I had t take a picture. On Saturday evening I went to Bury St Edmunds to meet up with my dads side of the family. It was his birthday on the 16th June so we had a get together and it was really fun. I was actually supposed to be born on the same day as him but I was a little late and it’s actually 6 days later. 🙂 Shoes! You gotta love shoes and this sale section is actually of LKBennett in William and Griffin. They’re so pretty. What did you get up to this weekend? Let me know in the comments below. Happy Shopping!
At the start of the week I invested in two cool products. A new pair of white leather converse trainers and a really cool rain jacket from Marks and Spencers. It’s a cool outfit for the Spring/Summer season. I saw this in Topshop an well I thought it seemed like a cool message. I love these flowers that are just down the road from work. I seemed to get them on their ultimate day of bloom because the next day they had started to die. Colchester is full of some amazing scenery and this one just down the road from the Castle park is one of my favourites. The river and the different types of green are just so gorgeous. On Wednesday my husband took us both back to the noodle bar. Mainly because he wanted to try the peanut noodle dish but I did enjoy the garlic sauce, vegetables and plain rice. It was too yummy! I love bluebells. Some of my favourite scenery is bluebell fields in the woods so when I saw these on my way to town I just had to take a picture. I’ve just bought some really cool white leather Converse but when I went by Office the other day I saw these little beauties so I might just have to save up for these too. One of my favourite places to go at the weekend is a little vegan cafe just in town called The Den. It’s Colchester’s first and we love it because we can eat everything there and it all tastes amazing. They always have the most amazing cupcakes and muffins. so yummy! I either have Avocado on toast or vegetable toasty that comes with the best salad. I was told about the Andy Warhol exhibition at Colchester First Site. I’m a big art fan even though I don’t get to go to many exhibitions so when I heard about this I jumped at the chance, and I took my husband along to see it too. The pop art exhibit is actually free and it was the first time at First Site. They have a cafe and a fab little shop with books abut all kind of artists. If you get the chance to go, be sure to. At the Andy Warhol exhibition, there is also a solo exhibit by Colchester born Hattie Stewart. She’s has a fab doodle bombing style that takes the mick out of the celebrity phenomenon. we loved it so much that we took home this picture of FKA Twigs. What have you been up to this week. Let me know in the comments below. Happy Instagram – ing!
