Music Monday: Charlie Puth

Charlie-Puth-How-Long-screenshot-2017-billboard-1548Happy Monday! Were is the time going. There is only 6 weeks till Christmas – okay lets not think about that yet.
This weeks Music Monday features an American singer/songwriter/producer called Charlie Puth. He originally started uploading covers to Youtube, had a lot of success and got signed quite quickly. He’s particularly well known for his track ‘See you again’, a tribute to Fast and the Furious actor Paul Walker and last years hit ‘Marvin Gaye’ which featured Meghan Trainor.
The track I’ve chosen this week is ‘How Long’, another that I heard in a dance class so it’s great one to dance to and yep, Kyle Hanagami happens to have choreographed another piece to this too. ( Have I mentioned his choreography before :-)) Charlie Puth’s ‘How Long’ was released just last month, so it’s still quite new and it’s his second single of the forthcoming album Voicenotes. It’s a little addictive. Once you listen to it, you’ll be humming this R n’B tune again and again. It’s fairly stripped back and really shows his skill and range as a singer. It also really makes you want to go searching for more of his tracks. The video is pretty fun with Puth walking on walls, and showing off his dad dancing skills. I kinda love it and I think this is a song that will be big in the coming months.
I’ve included Hanagami’s video below too. Let me know what you think of the track and what you’ve been listening to this week in the comments below or over on Twitter. I’d love to hear your thoughts.
Happy Listening!

Music Monday: Sabrina Carpenter

Sabrina Carpenter
Hope you’ve had a fantastic weekend. I was in London as I went to an inspirational festival with lots of meditation and I was a bit of a tourist in a part of London I don’t go to much. So fun to do that every now and then.
Even though this song has been out since the summer, I heard this fab song Why from American Actress/singer Sabrina Carpenter on a dance video where Kyle Hanagami taught his choreography to a room full of dancers. He then chose 6 to then go meet and dance with Sabrina Carpenter herself. Such a cool experience for everyone involved.
With influences of Christina Agularia and Selina Gomez, this electro pop track is ultra catchy, cheeky and has a fun vibe to it. I love the fast pace of the song and how she’s telling you that opposites really can attract. The video features American RiverDale actor Casey Cott and it’s a really cute insight of how a couple who are completely different still end up together.
I’ll be listening to it for weeks to come. Go and check out the dance video as well as the original and let me know what your thoughts are on Twitter.
Happy Monday!

Music Monday: Pink

Hope you’ve had a fantastic bank holiday weekend! I had picnic at the beach with my husband and had a walk around a lovely seaside town called Aldeburgh.
Ever since I have been young I’ve really loved dancing. Performing, watching, rehearsing and reviewing. It’s been a big part of my life and it continues to constantly inspire me. Recently I’ve loved Kyle Hanagami, a choreographer for Jennifer Lopez and many other American artists. His Youtube videos are insane and last week he choreographed some awesome movement to this weeks track What about us by Pink.
The track features Pink’s powerful vocals over an on trend EDM track and the video itself features a lot of choreographed dance too. The song is the first single from her new album Beautiful Trauma out on October 13th.  Check out the official video and Kyle Hanagami’s choreography below.
Tweet me and let me know what you’ve been listening to this week.
Happy Listening!
