The first item in my Feb favourites is Girl On Line On Tour by Zoe Sugg better known as Zoella. My husband bought me this for Valentine’s day and I’ve only had a short time to read it but I’m already half way through and thoroughly enjoying it. I can’t wait to read more. When I’ve not been reading Girl On Line On Tour, I’ve been listening to David Bowie which I’m very much enjoying and I’ve finished this great book on him by David Buckley. It’s filled with lots of accounts from his long time collaborators. It’s a fab book and if you too are a Bowie fanatic, it’s a must read. The Clarins Multi- active Day and Night creams are really great moisturisers. The day cream is rich yet light on the skin and it’s really helped my skin look amazing in the last month. The night cream smells amazing, it has poppy extract in it and it has really been helping me to sleep recently too. Ciate is fast becoming my all time favourite nail polish brand. I received this one in Pillow Fight from an InStyle magazine. It’s beautiful colour. A mauve nude that looks incredible on the nails and goes with everything. And how cute is the bow on the bottle. I’ve even found that you can get reduced Ciate products from TK Maxx with such amazing colours available so I’m ultra happy. I recently did a blog post on the Max Factor Marilyn Monroe collection and I’ve been loving the darkest of the four colours Marilyn Cabernet ever since. It’s a beautiful colour and one everyone seems to be able pull off. It makes every outfit that bit more done up and has such great staying power. If you haven’t tried this already, you should. I’ve always wanted to have some Garlain products as I’ve heard there so good. This one is hopefully the first of many and it didn’t let me down. I picked it up towards the end of the January sales and it was on sale as I’m told it’s an end of the line product. They lipsticks are so creamy and almost feel like a lip balm. It’s the most beautiful of nudes, slightly darker than Nude Pop from Clinique but in the same tone family. I love the Clinique Pop lipsticks. They’re lipsticks that have both colour and primer. I’ve already got and loved Nude Pop, and it made my monthly favourites a few months ago. This one in Party pop, the most beautiful bright pink/red is one I instantly loved. These lipsticks moisturise and last a long time. Perfect! I received these gorgeous Vivienne Westwood earrings from my husband for Valentine’s Day. I’d had my eye on some jewellery from this lovely lady from quite some years, and when I spotted these small silver VW orbs in my local stockists a few months ago, I just knew they had to be mine. My husband knows me well and these beauties were a grand surprise. They come in gold, silver and rose gold and every one comments on them. They really ooze sophistication and glamour. I bought the Urban Decay Smoky palette when it was first released last year. I’d used just a few colours quite a bit then gave it a break due to having quite a few palettes to review. I recently came back to this palette and have used it quite a lot over mid December and January and have allen in love with it all over again. I love the matte colours Password, Whiskey and Combust. They make for a perfect day time smoky eye look. I really love this mascara as it really separates and volumises. It does this without clumping but strangely as the name might suggests it makes them feel really velvety. Crazy cool and I’ve been loving it ever since I was sent it by the lovely people at Max Factor. Clarins have had some more colours of the Instant Light Natural Lip Protectors and this gorgeous plum shimmer has been a firm go to. It’s a beautiful colour and i really enjoy wear it as it really makes you look fab. This Garner Mircellar Water has been repurchased quite a few times and I’ve recently bought a new one so it just had to go in this months favourites. It doesn’t hurt or sting your eyes when your wipe them, it takes make up off quickly and efficiently and it’s overall just a really great product to use. Laura Mercier’s caviar sticks are really beautiful products. My favourite is the amethyst, which is a brown/purple colour. The product itself is just like caviar to put on and it really lasts especially with a bit of primer underneath it. My perfume choices have changed greatly since I was younger. This perfume Estee Lauders Modern Muse Le Rouge is not something that I would normally choose but it’s a really lovely fragrance and it smells amazing. It’s described as fruity and floral. It also lasts a long time and I have been getting a lot of compliments on it since I bought it. I bought this colouring book on a bit of a wim. When I was a teenager I would always colour and a lot of people, family, friends would ask why I was doing it, and insinuate that I was a little too old to do it. I always felt that it was quite therapeutic and would destress me quite a lot whenI was able to do it. So I loved it when colouring books were recently brought out for older generations for this same reason. I always knew there was something in it so I have really enjoyed colouring this Enchanted Forest book in. DO you think that you will try colouring books or do you colour already? I’m planning on going into a little deeper detail with some other individual posts but do let me know what products you have been loving this month in the comments below. Happy shopping!
Marilyn Monroe loved her red lip stick and was well known for it. 1.Marilyn Ruby Red – The original red This gorgeous bold red colour was inspired by the shade loved and warn by Marilyn. It’s both iconic and career-defining lip colour. Everyone will want to wear it! 2.Marilyn Sunset Red Sunset Red is more an orange shade of lipstick. These kind of tones are suited to warm or olive skin tones. A really pretty colour for an evening out. 3.Marilyn Berry This muted almost coral red with blue undertones is really beautiful. It will make lighter skin tones to pop! It’s a great colour to have on all day long! 4.Marilyn Cabernet Ladies with darker skin tones will love this beautiful luxurious deep red. It has purple undertones and is also the only shade to have a slight shimmer. You won’t be able to get enough of it! These colours are great for beginners as they don’t come out super bright or strong but can be built up with blotting, reapplying and layered for an opaque look. I have really enjoyed trying these lipsticks out but I especially love both the deep Cabernet and the muted Berry. They’re both so pretty. The colours overall smell great and they last for hours. If you decide that you want to buy all four colours, there’s one for every occasion and they just want to be loved by you. (sorry, I couldn’t resist!) The packaging is also really very pretty and they’re available to get from Boots at £7.99. Which Marilyn lipstick are you loving the look of? Will you be hot footing it down to your nearest Boots for one of these. Let me know in the comments below. Happy Shopping! *Samples from Max Factor.
