February Favourites!

IMG_3285 IMG_3287The first item in my Feb favourites is Girl On Line On Tour by Zoe Sugg better known as Zoella. My husband bought me this for Valentine’s day and I’ve only had a short time to read it but I’m already half way through and thoroughly enjoying it. I can’t wait to read more. IMG_3289When I’ve not been reading Girl On Line On Tour, I’ve been listening to David Bowie which I’m very much enjoying and I’ve finished this great book on him by David Buckley. It’s filled with lots of accounts from his long time collaborators. It’s a fab book and if you too are a Bowie fanatic, it’s a must read. IMG_3294The Clarins Multi- active Day and Night creams are really great moisturisers. The day cream is rich yet light on the skin and it’s really helped my skin look amazing in the last month. The night cream smells amazing, it has poppy extract in it and it has really been helping me to sleep recently too. IMG_3296Ciate is fast becoming my all time favourite nail polish brand. I received this one in Pillow Fight from an InStyle magazine. It’s beautiful colour. A mauve nude that looks incredible on the nails and goes with everything. And how cute is the bow on the bottle. I’ve even found that you can get reduced Ciate products from TK Maxx with such amazing colours available so I’m ultra happy. IMG_3301I recently did a blog post on the Max Factor Marilyn Monroe collection and I’ve been loving the darkest of the four colours Marilyn Cabernet ever since. It’s a beautiful colour and one everyone seems to be able pull off. It makes every outfit that bit more done up and has such great staying power. If you haven’t tried this already, you should. IMG_3305I’ve always wanted to have some Garlain products as I’ve heard there so good. This one is hopefully the first of many and it didn’t let me down. I picked it up towards the end of  the January sales and it was on sale as I’m told it’s an end of the line product. They lipsticks are so creamy and almost feel like a lip balm. It’s the most beautiful of nudes, slightly darker than Nude Pop from Clinique but in the same tone family. Clinique-lipstick-pic-2I love the Clinique Pop lipsticks. They’re lipsticks that have both colour and primer. I’ve already got and loved Nude Pop, and it made my monthly favourites a few months ago. This one in Party pop, the most beautiful bright pink/red is one I instantly loved. These lipsticks moisturise and last a long time. Perfect! IMG_3312I received these gorgeous Vivienne Westwood earrings from my husband for Valentine’s Day. I’d had my eye on some jewellery from this lovely lady from quite some years, and when I spotted these small silver VW orbs in my local stockists a few months ago, I just knew they had to be mine. My husband knows me well and these beauties were a grand surprise. They come in gold, silver and rose gold and every one comments on them. They really ooze sophistication and glamour. What have you been loving this month? Let me know in the comments below. Happy Shopping!

January Favourites

IMG_3239 I bought the Urban Decay Smoky palette when it was first released last year. I’d used just a few colours quite a bit then gave it a break due to having quite a few palettes to review. I recently came back to this palette and have used it quite a lot over mid December and January and have allen in love with it all over again. I love the matte colours Password, Whiskey and Combust. They make for a perfect day time smoky eye look. IMG_3246   I really love this mascara as it really separates and volumises. It does this without clumping but strangely as the name might suggests it makes them feel really velvety. Crazy cool and I’ve been loving it ever since I was sent it by the lovely people at Max Factor. IMG_3256   Clarins have had some more colours of the Instant Light Natural Lip Protectors and this gorgeous plum shimmer has been a firm go to. It’s a beautiful colour and i really enjoy wear it as it really makes you look fab. IMG_3250   This Garner Mircellar Water has been repurchased quite a few times and I’ve recently bought a new one so it just had to go in this months favourites. It doesn’t hurt or sting your eyes when your wipe them, it takes make up off quickly and efficiently and it’s overall just a really great product to use. IMG_3251   Laura Mercier’s caviar sticks are really beautiful products. My favourite is the amethyst, which is a brown/purple colour. The product itself is just like caviar to put on and it really lasts especially with a bit of primer underneath it. IMG_3255 My perfume choices have changed greatly since I was younger. This perfume Estee Lauders Modern Muse Le Rouge is not something that  I would normally choose but it’s a really lovely fragrance and it smells amazing. It’s described as fruity and floral. It also lasts a long time and I have been getting a lot of compliments on it since I bought it. IMG_3243 I bought this colouring book on a bit of a wim. When I was a teenager I would always colour and a lot of people, family, friends would ask why I was doing it, and insinuate that I was a little too old to do it. I always felt that it was quite therapeutic and would destress me quite a lot whenI was able to do it. So I loved it when colouring books were recently brought out for older generations for this same reason. I always knew there was something in it so I have really enjoyed colouring this Enchanted Forest book in. DO you think that you will try colouring books or do you colour already? IMG_3264   I’m planning on going into a little deeper detail with some other individual posts but do let me know what products you have been loving this month in the comments below. Happy shopping!

Max Factor Marilyn Monroe Collection

IMG_3171 Marilyn Monroe loved her red lip stick and was well known for it. 1.Marilyn Ruby Red – The original red This gorgeous bold red colour was inspired by the shade loved and warn by Marilyn. It’s both iconic and career-defining lip colour. Everyone will want to wear it! 2.Marilyn Sunset Red Sunset Red is more an orange shade of lipstick. These kind of tones are suited to warm or olive skin tones. A really pretty colour for an evening out. 3.Marilyn Berry This muted almost coral red with blue undertones is really beautiful. It will make lighter skin tones to pop! It’s a great colour to have on all day long! 4.Marilyn Cabernet Ladies with darker skin tones will love this beautiful luxurious deep red. It has purple undertones and is also the only shade to have a slight shimmer. You won’t be able to get enough of it! IMG_3167 These colours are great for beginners as they don’t come out super bright or strong but can be built up with blotting, reapplying and layered for an opaque look. IMG_3164 I have really enjoyed trying these lipsticks out but I especially love both the deep Cabernet and the muted Berry. They’re both so pretty. The colours overall smell great and they last for hours. If you decide that you want to buy all four colours,  there’s one for every occasion and they just want to be loved by you. (sorry, I couldn’t resist!)  The packaging is also really very pretty and they’re available to get from Boots at £7.99. Which Marilyn lipstick are you loving the look of? Will you be hot footing it down to your nearest Boots for one of these. Let me know in the comments below. Happy Shopping!   *Samples from Max Factor.

My Favourite Fashion, Beauty and Lifestyle Products for April

IMG_2475 IMG_2486

Thomas Sabo Charm Bracelet

First up is this gorgeous Thomas Sabo bracelet from East Yorkshire based jewellers Joshua James Jewellery. Four beautiful charms on this bracelet, the four leaf clover that was included with the chain, the limited edition star with crystals and rose quartz, the hummingbird, and the limited edition love within charm with two hearts, one silver and one gold. It’s a beauty! IMG_2485

The Wet Brush

I was sent this Wet Brush recently to review and I’ve used it every day since I received it, even to the point of it taking the place of the Tangle Teazer that I adore so much. It’s easy to use and it’s a beautiful purple colour. They’ll be a full review of this brush this week, so keep an eye out! IMG_2482

Max Factor Lip Balm

This is a late comer to this month’s favourites as I bought it right at the end of the month. It’s the Max Factor Colour Intensifying lip balm in Refined Rose 30. It’s a perfect your lips but better colour and I’ve found myself reaching for it every time I’ve needed a little bit of colour on my lips. It lasts really well and it’s not obvious that you have lippie on. It’s also very nourishing and that’s just what I love from a lip colour and balm. IMG_2477

Love Story by Chole

Love Story by Chloe is a light and summery fragrance. Lots of people I know have commented on how much this perfume suits me and how lovely the scent is. Always a winner in my eyes when that happens. IMG_2481

Max Factor Mascara

This Max Factor Clump Defy mascara is so amazing. I’ve had this a few months now, I used it a lot when I first bought it only to give it a break and I just started to use it again this month. I’ve been reminded how good it is and I’ve completely fallen in love with it again. You don’t have to spend a long time applying this like other mascaras, just pop it on and go. It gives length, fullness, volume and an intensive look. You couldn’t ask for more! IMG_2478

Rituals Shower Gel

The Rituals shower gel is one of those products that you either love or hate especially because it’s a little bit expensive at around £8, Eek! I have been loving this though. I was convinced this was just a more expensive version of the shower bursts from Imperial Leather but when I hadn’t used it for a while I definitely noticed. A small amount really foams up well which means you don’t need a lot so it lasts really well. It also smells amazing! The imperial Leather shower bursts last around a month for me but this Rituals gel is still going strong three months later. You should try this if you haven’t! IMG_2484

NYX Lip Balm

The Nyx Chunky Dunk in Bikini Rose is seriously pretty. I’m loving pink this month and this one is another your lip colour but better kind of colour. It suits any outfit, and sometimes I like to mix it with the Max Factor Intensify lip balm. They look gorgeous together and they don’y dry out your lips and it last really well. It’s the second lip balm that I’ve been reaching for again and again this month. Screen Shot 2015-05-03 at 14.51.16

Starbucks Chai Tea

Chai Tea is a new favourite from of mine from Starbucks. The combination of spices such as cardamon, cinnamon, black pepper and black tea tastes like gingerbread, and although I’m not a great fan of gingerbread, this tea is mind-blowing. Try it out for sure! Let me know if you’ve been liking any of these or maybe you have some April favourites that you would love to share too. Let me know in the comments below. Happy Shopping!
