It’s Valentine’s Day and I thought that I would put together a quick post with a few outfit ideas for this evening. 1. The first is this really cool blue Phase Eight Becky lace dress. It’s a body con that has high neck with short sleeves. It’s really on trend and would be great for Valentine’s Day, with a black pair of heels and a cute bag. 2. The second is a long sleeved knee length dress and these are one of my favourite trends at the moment. I love this dress especially because of the bright colour combination and the ruffles. The floral print ruffle dress from Next is beautiful and would be great with a pair of short boots, and fab accessories in black. 3. I adore this cute Bee Love t shirt from Silk Fred. Is so simple and so cool for Valentines Day. It’ll go with a ripped pair of jeans or maybe even a fab pleated skirt. Perfect! 4. This bright Pink Lace Shift Dress from New Look is so pretty. It had a real Self Portrait feel to it and is a beautiful bright colour that will make anyone who wears it the bell of the ball. 5. This Black Lace Panel Tiered mini dress from Next is another Self Portrait inspired dress. It’s gorgeous and gives a real rock chick feel. Team this dress with a pair of cool platform heels for the ultimate wow! 6. Pleated skirts are a real trend that is sticking around. If you’ve been looking for the perfect style, look no further than this Navy pleated skirt from Next. It’s a beautiful colour and it sits really well on the hips, and will look great with a black lace shirt or a cute printed t-shirt. Do you like any of these outfits? Will you be buying any of them for this evening? Let me know in the comments below. Happy Shopping!

The one thing that I wanted to do while we were in Venice this week was to have a gondola ride. It was a bit scary as the boat swayed from side to side but the gondoliers are very skilled. They talk you through getting on and off the gondola and set you at easy and they might even sing a little to you too. It’s very romantic and so beautiful to be in such an amazing place. On the way home we went a different route from normal. This looked like the french alps and I was glued to watching the scenery change. I don’t love plane rides but it’s definitely mind over matter. This is just outside the Doge’s palace down by the water. It’s so pretty and the views are amazing. There are so many art galleries around the island. If you’ve been reading my blog for a while or maybe if you know me you’ll know that I love the arts, all arts especially dance, art, music and The Beatles. So when I saw this I was gawping like a fool. So many people were taking pictures and I had to wait a while to get this picture, I’m so glad I waited though. On Saturday we went to meet on of my best friends for afternoon tea. On the way to meet her we passed the Pride celebrations. It was so fun walking through the party. Everyone was dancing, singing and very happy. I saw this scene with the sun shining through the rainbow flags and umbrellas with the moody skies and it rained on and off and had to take a picture. Just beautiful! I always pop to William and Griffin. I’m definitely not sponsored by them, I realise I talk about the shop lots. The clothes are awesome and today it has a sale throughout. I was in heaven. This navy blue Phase Eight dress is so pretty. Back to Venice, I’m reminiscing and this picture is of the Doge’s Palace. The bridge ahead is the Bridge of Sighs, it’s very famous as no one ever came out of this prison due to disease etc. Legend has it that as the prisoners went across the bridge, they would glimpse the Venetian sea, the beautiful view and freedom and you’d be able to hear the sighs of the prisoners as they went to the prison. It’s very sad! Back to art and in the same gallery as the Beatles, they had this amazing Love sculpture. It’s just so fun and vey fitting for this week. Let me know what you think off my pics, and what you’ve been up to this week in the comments below. I’d love to know you thoughts. Happy Shopping!
This week my Pelargonium Bicolour Angel Eyes is really blooming at the moment and there’s nothing more that makes me happy. One of my favourite flowers along with Gerbera is the peony rose. It’s absolutely gorgeous and in the right vase can look totally amazing and luxurious. I saw these on my weekly visit to Waitrose and just had to take a pic. I saw this card in Marks and Spencer and had to take a picture because it made me smile. I also love animals that have a quirky side to them. The sloth with their slowness, the fox with their stealth and amazing ginger fur and the flamingo with their long bendy legs and their awesome colour that they get from the algae they eat. If you’ve been reading my blog for a while you’ll know that I love Phase Eight at the moment and that I’m looking for a pretty dress for a family wedding we have in September. I just love to look at the beautiful dresses especially as they have a sale on the moment. This stripy number caught my eye this week and I would love to try it on next time I’m in town. I’ve really been getting into gardening and love nothing more than to sit down and enjoy the lovely scents and colours of the flowers in my court yard garden. We put together this fab herb trough this weekend and I’m loving it and the smells coming from it. Amazing! I popped into Simply Living on Crouch Street in Colchester on Saturday and saw this fine lay out of fashion books and have to admit that I sat and read the Coco Chanel for more than a few minutes. What a beautiful book! I popped into William and Griffin this weekend. It’s one of my favourite shops to look around and I love the new Ted Baker collection. Those bows! Sunday really is for snuggling! Let me know what you got up to this week in the comments below. Happy Sunday!
I love a good wish list so when I had spotted a few pieces that I’ve been loving this month then I just knew that I had to pop one up. 1.I’m really loving dresses at the moment and I’m looking for a good one for a wedding in September. I know that black isn’t usually a colour that you should go for when you go to a wedding but I’m loving this gorgeous Chelsea Floral Pencil Dress. It’s a great price at £65 and the flowers are so pretty. 2. I love this Naomi Floral Shirt Dress . It’s a sophisticated dress from Phase Eight and is a more expensive price at £99 but it’s worth every penny as it fits in all the right places and and is stylish and made well. This dress also comes in a white lace look too. 3. The Paradise Print Blouse is a very intricately detailed but well fitting top. I just love the summery combination of colours, they just remind me of holidays. It’s so easy to wear and will go with a gorgeous little skirt like that of number 5 or denim jeans. 4. I love to go for a top with a metallic print and this Pineapple Foil T-Shirt is a cute option. You can’t beat a crisp white t-shirt in the summer and this one is perfect. 5. In the Spring and Summer skirts feature greatly in my wardrobe, I love skirts that are a little different especially for work. This Angeleye Irene Textured skirt in pale pink and is ultra gorgeous. It’s a great length and would go well with a white lace shirt. 6. A great print will often make an outfit and this Louche Rajaa Whale Print Shirt Dress is perfect. It’s quirky and so likable. It has a simple cut with a belt of the same deep blue of the print and you can dress it up with a pair of classic heels or down with a plimsol. 7. I’m not one for sandles or flip flops in summer, I love an enclosed toe strangely so my shoe of choice is the classic Emilia 2 part Espadrille wedge. I love a heel that is easy to walk in yet still classy so the wedge is a great choice. What’s on your Spring/Summer wish list. Tweet me or let me know in the comments below. Happy Shopping!
I love going out for a run so I just had to take a picture of my favourite fitness leggings from H and M and my Nike trainers. I saw this gorgeous fake flower wall at a little eatery we went to in Budapest called The Vintage Gardens. My husband wasn’t very keen to go but enjoyed the cheese cake when he got there. They had a beautiful little take away cake shop next door too. Check out my Budapest blogs coming this week. I’m always on the look out when I’m out and about and when I came across this amazing flowering bush I had to take a picture of it. I went to Starbucks in London saw that they had a new Pistachio cake in. It looks so yummy and so well made. Today we went to one of our favourite shops, it’s one of the main department stores in Colchester William and Griffin. They have lots of different brands from Joules to Michael Kors. This gorgeous floral shirt dress is from Phase Eight. It’s fast becoming one of my favourite shops as the products are so well made. A sunflower, but who would have known it was a fake one as it looks so good. A sunflower always makes me smile! Happy Sunday!
The first piece in my Wish list is this Pretty Mesh Insert Tee . This is not any plain tshirt, it has beautiful detailing around the cuff and hem of the t-shirt. It also has super cool mesh fitted into the sleeves which will be perfect for keeping you cool this Spring/Summer. The second piece is a really pretty Asos Ruffle detail cami top. It’s super easy to wear and as it’s so classic that it’ll stay in fashion for years to come. The next piece is this Wilton striped t-shirt from Phase Eight. If you don’t already know I love stripes and this t-shirt is really cool. It has small cup sleeves and a white vest attachment at the bottom of the top which will hide a multitude of sins. This Beth Lace top in ivory is the perfect lace top to go with everything on those colder Spring and summer days and Phase Eight currently has a 20% discount so go check this out. The next piece is one of my favourites, it’s this Glamorous Petite embroidered off the shoulder folk top. It’s gorgeous with the white seems and the colourful design on the front. It fits in with the summer boho style and I love it. I love the style of this gorgeous blue dress with the blue lace overlay and white lining. It reminds me so much of the Self Portrait dresses that have been every where. This Camille Lace Dress is the perfect dupe and would be perfect as a wedding guest dress. You will shine but not outshine the bride. I bought some white leather converse recently but as soon as I saw these really cool rose gold Converse, I fell in love with these too. They’re so fresh and so in season at the moment and rose gold never gets old. Which pieces do you love? Let me know in the comments below. Happy Shopping!
