March Beauty Favourites!

It’s almost the end of March and so I’ve gathered up some of my favourites products from this month to tell you all about. Some are new products that I’ve never tried before and some are just blogger favourites that I just had to try out. IMG_0012
I bought the Armani Si fragrance in the Christmas sales and this mascara Eccentrico came with it. I’ve put off trying it for a while but when I started to use it at the start of the month I did wonder why I hadn’t used it sooner. The product itself it really lovely, lasts a long time and makes my eye lashes look amazing. They look so long when I wear this and I always get comments about how they look like false lashes. Bonus!
The Stella McCartney Pop fragrance is pretty,  subtle and fiercely feminine. It’s such a Spring/Summer scent that I love to wear and it turns out that my mum and I both bought this perfume for each other at Christmas because we both love it so much. Great minds huh!  I just know it’s going to be one that I keep going back too.
I picked up this Tanya Burr Enchanted Dream palette on a whim at the beginning of the month and I’m so glad that I did. The colours are beautiful and they blend so well too. The colours really go well together and I especially love the colours Cocoa Plum and Berry Soufflé.
The Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution lipstick in Pillow Talk is one that hasn’t been off my lips since I bought it. I hadn’t tried the lipliner of the same colour but I think I might now. It gives great definition and the colour really suits everyone. I wear mine with a little gloss in the centre for a little added touch.
The Retoucher from Charlotte Tilbury is a great concealer. It covers really well and lasts so long too. I had a little bit of bother with mine to begin with and I’m hoping that it hasn’t used up all of the product. You don’t need to use much, as a little goes a long way. I love Charlotte Tilbury products and I’m tempted to try more.
My husband very kindly bought this for me for Valentine’s Day and what a treat it is. I loved the Naked Basics palette and so this is like a dream palette for me really. I tend to stick to the colours on the top row but I sometimes use some of the brighter ones to change it up a little. The brush is also fab and it’s so cute being slightly smaller than the average brush and the packaging is beautiful. It’s a keeper!

What I got for Christmas 2016!

img_4384 img_4386 So these items are a few from my mum that  love. I’ve been going on about the Stella McCartney Pop fragrance and I actually ended up buying it for my mum too. Great mind! The DKNY perfume is one of my all time favourites and so i was very happy to get this. And my mum knows me well as a pretty lipstick and nail polish is very me. img_4396 Next are a few cute presents from my sister in law. I was really spoilt by her as they are all from Ted Baker. The smaller items are firstly a gorgeous deep red lippie and nail polish set. I’m really looking forward to saving these for a special occasion to wear them as it’s a really gorgeous colour and will really add to an outfit. Things that I really love is a fab hand cream and nail file so these ones are perfect. The print is so cute too. Lastly is this fab checkered Ted Baker shopper and I love these bags as they’re so useful especially in the summer so this one will be getting a lot of use. img_4387 My in-laws really spoilt me this year too and I thought that I would just choose a selection of the things. They know that I’m a blogger so when I opened this little E plate my first thought was, ooo this is very instagram-able. The gold is so pretty. I have Thomas Sabo bracelet, and so a little tortoise charm was perfect to remind me of my recent holiday to Mexico. It’s so cute. I also received a little Cath Kidston Lip butter and hand cream set. So pretty! img_4400 My dad and sister bought me a coat from Warehouse that I asked for. I love the mottled blue and black effect that it has and it’s really warm. It also goes really well with the faux fur snood I got from my aunty. I received a little Michael Kors card holder too as I never have enough room for wallets or purses in evening bags so I really needed something cute for them to go in.  I really love this. img_4390   Lastly I received a few amazing gifts from my husband. We actually almost bought each other similar things too which is strange. First up is this candle from Neom. I’ve been after one of these for so long as it smells incredible. I can’t wait to start burning it. Next up is this a fragrance I adore from Jo Malone. Peony and Blush Suede is such a pretty floral fragrance. Every time I go past my local shop I always pop in and smell it. I always use them up so fast though as I love the JM fragrances so much. I’m saving this one a little more though. I’d seen this cute little E key ring in Accessorize recently, I always loose my keys so it was so cool to get this. Perfect! My big present from my husband this year was this super cute black Michael Kors evening bag.  I’ve been to a few events recently and had to borrow a friends black bag to go with my outfit so my husband chose a stunning one for future events. It’s made of saffiano leather which means it’s really durable and doesn’t scratch easily.  It has space for a few cards, a bit of make up and my phone. What more could a girl need. What did you get for christmas? Let me know in the comments below. Happy

Ladies Christmas Perfume Guide!

perfumes-for-ladies Some of my favourite pressies to get at Christmas are fragrances but they can also be some of the hardest things to buy if your lady is specific about what she smells like. I thought that I would tell you about some of my favourites and maybe it will give you a bit of inspiration. 1. I remember loving the original Poison scent as a little girl and thinking that it was what a perfume should really smell like, with it’s identifiable strong but addictive smell. Dior recently brought out Poison Girl, which is an updated slightly younger scent and I was equally obsessed straight away. With it’s simplistic notes of mouthwatering bitter orange, mid notes of grass rose and finally base notes of Venezuelan Tonka Bean it’s one fragrance that has to be smelt to be believed. 2. My Burberry by Burberry is one of my favourite winter fragrances. I loved the meaning behind the bottle with the huge button from the iconic rain jackets as the lid and the scent essentially bottling an english garden in the rain. The fragrance is so warm and musky and perfectly prepared so when they updated the fragrance this season I had to have a sniff. My Burberry Black has top notes of a sun-drenched jasmine flower, the heart notes are of the signature rose but candied with sweet twist and it settles to release peach nectar. The base notes are of beautiful amber and patchouli. Every lady would love this sitting under the tree. 3. If you’ve been reading Emily Hearts for a while now, you’ll know that I’m a big fan of Modern Muse Red so when Modern Muse Nuit by Estee Lauder was released this year I was a little sceptical. Could a fragrance ever smell more beautiful than that of MM Red? It really does smell gorgeous, more seductive, so alluring and very deeper and dark. The midnight blue and gold bottle lures you in for the top notes of mandarin and blackberry buds, which settles to bring out the floral heart of blue camomile and beautiful jasmine. This subtly brings base notes of sandalwood, patchouli, tonga bean, vanilla, amber and finally musk. It’s perfect! 4. If Stella McCartney fragrances aren’t normally your thing, you might well love this one. Pop by Stella McCartney is intricate, bright with woody but floral textures. It smells very contemporary and makes me very positive every time I smell it. The fragrance starts with the subtlety of tomato leaves, violet leaves, and green mandarin which then moves onto heart notes of violet, tuberose, and plumeria which I love. It has lasting base notes of sandalwood, cedarwood, and musk. It’s just gorgeous. 5. I always tried to keep away from Jo Malone fragrances because I knew that if I gave in I would love all of their fragrances. This is certainly the case and Cardamon and Momosa is my trusty favourites which everyone is sure to love. This one is another oriental floral scent with honeyed, golden mimosa that sings above the spiciness of the cardamon. Along with this are notes of creamy tonga bean, smooth sandalwood and last but not least Damask Rose settles in as the base notes. It’s mesmerising and this fragrance would be perfect for anyone that loves their scents. What fragrances do you love at the moment and which ones will you be putting under someones tree? Let me know in the comments below. Happy Shopping!

Autumn Wish List

autumn-wish-list Autumn is here and I feel like my wardrobe needs a little bit of a refresh so the season change is the perfect opportunity. I’ve been looking around the shops and these are that are on this months wish list. 1. Zara never fail to impress for me. The first on my Wish list is this beautiful Zara Guipure Bib Front Blouse. It’s a gorgeous delicate white blouse with a high neck which will make every lady look sophisticated. It’s also a great price at £29.99. 2. I love wearing long sleeved dresses in Autumn/Winter so when I saw the New England Shirt Dress from Oasis I had to pop it on my Autumn Wish List. There are such pretty colours and the print itself is just gorgeous. I just had to pop it on my Wish List. 3. I love stars so when I saw this gorgeous Mango Embroidered Star Shirt, I knew it would make it’s way into my wardrobe. It’s a box shaped shirt but if you tuck in the front into trousers or jeans it will be perfect for work or for just milling around town. 4. I’m constantly looking for new and amazing smiling fragrances and the new release on the Stella McCartney Pop is just that. It has a really interesting bottle with that bright pink pop of colour and the perfume itself is fresh yet citrus smelling. To top this Madonnas daughter Lola Leon is actually the face of the fragrance. Go have a smell! 5. I’ve recently been loving the products from Ted Baker, as they’re always so delicate and beautiful. Their bags specifically are so pretty and I’m loving this Textured Leather Shoulder Bag in black. It comes in many colours but this on it my favourite. It’s a fold over style and seems like it could fit in a lot of items which would be per t for work. 6. I’m still loving metallics so when I saw these Dune Slipper Cut Flatform Shoe I just knew these were for me. They’re a fab price at just £75 and Kurt Geiger also have something very similar in grey and pink in the sale too. What have you been loving this month and do you like any of my choices in my Wish List? Let me know in the comments below. Happy Shopping!
