The Party Outfit Wednesday Wishlist!

party outfit wishlist wednesday
It’s finally December and it’s suddenly feeling very festive, we even popped up the tree this weekend. We have a real one this year. Enjoying the parties over this holiday period is something that I love to do especially the work Christmas party. I thought that I would would look at some outfits that would be more appropriate for these kind of events.
1. Asos Floral Sparkle Embellished Tulle Mini Dress
I love a bit of embellishment on a dress. It’s interesting and sparkly so when I saw this gorgeous Embellished Tulle Mini Dress from Asos I swooned a little. The colour is classic yet sophisticated but the embellishment adds a little something extra for this season so it would be perfect for a Christmas party.
2. Asos Embellished Mix Lace Panelled Tulle Mini Dress
Textures are huge especially in the winter so this embellished mix lace tulle dress with delicate lace back is ultra dreamy. It would be perfect with an updo, black heels and bag with a faux fur jacket.
3. Paper Dolls Off The Shoulder Crochet Dress with Frill Sleeve
You can’t go wrong with a red dress for a Christmas Party and this red number is a knock out! Add some black accessories, some heels, a bag and maybe a velvet black jacket and you’ve got yourself a gorgeous outfit!
4.Asos Lace top jumpsuit with halter neck
If you don’t want to do too much but still want to look elegant for you your Christmas party, a jumpsuit is the perfect way to go. This bright red Asos jumpsuit is a gorgeous one to choose, especially with the lace halter neck. Add a black or white jacket and some court shoes to tone it down a little if you’re feeling a little over dressed!
5. Warehouse Premium Floral embroidered skater skirt
I love floral patterns and this blue dress so pretty. The shade of the flowers really contrasts with the colour and style of the dress. It’s delicate yet beautiful and will really stand out at a work do without being too OTT.
6. Little Mistress All over sequin top Maxi dress with pleated skirt
I love a maxi dress and this deep berry version with added sequins is suitably festive. I love the pleats in the skirt and the contracts between the two textures. Pop your hair up in a loose bun, add some earrings and heels and you’re away.
Let me know which outfit you liked and what you’ll be wearing for your work Christmas party in the comments below or over on Twitter!

I love Embroidery, A wish List!

embroidered-wishlist Embroidery is a huge trend this year and slowly but surely it’s has been sweeping into every look. It’s rapidly becoming one of my favourite trends as it’s such an easy one to master. I thought that I would gather some of my favourite items to show you. 1. This fully embroidered dress from River Island is really pretty. It has so much intricate detail yet it still looks amazing and it’s so flattering to wear too. It would be perfect for a date night or maybe even a wedding too. 2. Dresses are some of my favourite items to wear at the moment mainly because they go with everything especially a fab pair of heeled ankle boots and a cool bag. This black stud and embroidered dress is subtle yet stylish. It’ll be perfect for the Spring season with a denim jacket or if you’re feeling brave a leather jacket too. 3. I love this shirt from Topshop. It’s subtle being white but it packs a punch with two trends, with the feminine bell sleeves and scalloped detailing down the front. The embroidery is so pretty, this top will go with everything. Come on, what are you waiting for? Buy this one and work those Spring styles. It’s gorgeous. 4. I really love this slouchy embroidered sweatshirt from Warehouse. It’s casual but cool and it will create the most amazing up to date look teamed with a mini or a midi skirt and heels. 5. There a lot of embroidered bags out there at the moment but this cute black one from Miss Selfridge is the bees knees. It will go with so many outfits and will be the star of the show too. 6. The jean look with embroidery is very much a classic 60’s look and it’s coming back larger than life. I love the lovely designs especially these embroidered Jamie Jeans from Topshop and although you’d have to be careful what you teamed it with, you’d be right on trend and everyone will want these jeans too. 7. I love a simple casual look updated with embroidery as it brings the look right up to date. My favourites are these silver trainers with bright pink embroidery from New Look. They’ve very understated yet so pretty! Are you loving the embroidered look this season too? Let me know in the comments below. Happy Shopping!

Castle on the Hill & an OOTD!

Warehouse. It’s warm and goes with everything. The jumper is a gorgeous warm bergundy jumper from Miss Selfridge. I love this colour in Winter and it seems to go well with the jacket too. The tabby striped snood that I’m wearing has been a definite fixture to my Winter wardrobe. It was a Christmas present from my auntie and her family that she bought in a small boutique near where she lives. It’s actually one of  my favourite clothing items at the moment. I teamed this combo with a high waisted denim skirt from Oasis which is currently in the sale. It has a retro Sargent Pepper military feel to it as it has six buttons going up it but that are mostly hidden here. I have a feeling I’ll be wearing this a lot in the summer too. I teamed this with my black ankle boots, some black leggings and my DKNY bag which is never far away from me. What are your wardrobe favourites at the moment. Let me know in the comments below. Happy Shopping! IMG_4445 IMG_4443 IMG_4435 IMG_4430 IMG_4428

What I got for Christmas 2016!

img_4384 img_4386 So these items are a few from my mum that  love. I’ve been going on about the Stella McCartney Pop fragrance and I actually ended up buying it for my mum too. Great mind! The DKNY perfume is one of my all time favourites and so i was very happy to get this. And my mum knows me well as a pretty lipstick and nail polish is very me. img_4396 Next are a few cute presents from my sister in law. I was really spoilt by her as they are all from Ted Baker. The smaller items are firstly a gorgeous deep red lippie and nail polish set. I’m really looking forward to saving these for a special occasion to wear them as it’s a really gorgeous colour and will really add to an outfit. Things that I really love is a fab hand cream and nail file so these ones are perfect. The print is so cute too. Lastly is this fab checkered Ted Baker shopper and I love these bags as they’re so useful especially in the summer so this one will be getting a lot of use. img_4387 My in-laws really spoilt me this year too and I thought that I would just choose a selection of the things. They know that I’m a blogger so when I opened this little E plate my first thought was, ooo this is very instagram-able. The gold is so pretty. I have Thomas Sabo bracelet, and so a little tortoise charm was perfect to remind me of my recent holiday to Mexico. It’s so cute. I also received a little Cath Kidston Lip butter and hand cream set. So pretty! img_4400 My dad and sister bought me a coat from Warehouse that I asked for. I love the mottled blue and black effect that it has and it’s really warm. It also goes really well with the faux fur snood I got from my aunty. I received a little Michael Kors card holder too as I never have enough room for wallets or purses in evening bags so I really needed something cute for them to go in.  I really love this. img_4390   Lastly I received a few amazing gifts from my husband. We actually almost bought each other similar things too which is strange. First up is this candle from Neom. I’ve been after one of these for so long as it smells incredible. I can’t wait to start burning it. Next up is this a fragrance I adore from Jo Malone. Peony and Blush Suede is such a pretty floral fragrance. Every time I go past my local shop I always pop in and smell it. I always use them up so fast though as I love the JM fragrances so much. I’m saving this one a little more though. I’d seen this cute little E key ring in Accessorize recently, I always loose my keys so it was so cool to get this. Perfect! My big present from my husband this year was this super cute black Michael Kors evening bag.  I’ve been to a few events recently and had to borrow a friends black bag to go with my outfit so my husband chose a stunning one for future events. It’s made of saffiano leather which means it’s really durable and doesn’t scratch easily.  It has space for a few cards, a bit of make up and my phone. What more could a girl need. What did you get for christmas? Let me know in the comments below. Happy

Emily Hearts September Favourites

The Dove Leave-in conditioner and Lee stafford Tangle Teazers Spray have been life savers this month. As you probably know I’m getting married next July and I have really trying to look after my hair as I grow it out. It’s getting really long now and I have found it to be a little bit fly away and very knotty. The Dove Leave in Conditioner has left my hair feeling soft and refreshed  and the Tangle Teazer spray has completely stopped my hair getting huge knots and has been a god send. I have a feeling they will both be favourites for months to come. I bought these New Look  trousers for the Tresor Paris event in London at the start of the month. These trousers are really well structured, they go with most shoes and the pattern on them is sooooo gorgeous. It really makes them different to what I have seen before. They also have small zips at the ankles which make them slightly tighter. They were such a bargain at £22.99 and for the amount that I have worn them, it is great. Definitely one of my top favourites of the month.   I have also been loving these lovely bracelets from With Love Jewellery. I’ve got a full featured post coming soon about these beauts but for now I’ll just say I love the mix of colours and I have been wearing these bracelets non stop. The online shop is slightly addictive though as I’m also a tiny bit in love with the statement necklaces too. 🙂 Go check them out!     I went to the Warehouse new collection launch for Autumn/Winter and I fell in love with these two tops. I have been wearing this tropical vest top ,which is now in the sale  as I  love the black lace detailing and this leopard print top, the zip detailing gives it a funky edge. I have been teaming them with a leather jacket over the top which just looks fab. It’s such a great look and as the weather gets colder they will be brilliant with a plain long sleeve top underneath. Go check them out. What have you been loving this month? I’d love to know.  Leave a comment telling me or leave a link to your own september favourites. I’d love to read them. Happy Shopping!
