The Spring/Summer party season is quickly coming around again. That means wedding, christening and one off event invites galore and every thing in between. I like to have a few dresses in the wardrobe that are suitable for anything so with this in mind I’m on the hunt for dresses that transition well.
I’ve been scouring the shops, and one of my favourite shops for this kind of thing on the high street is Quiz. Luckily they recently got in touch so I’ve picked out a few of my favourite prom dresses.
First up is this cute number, it’s the white and dark blue Floral Print High Neck Dress. Floral is always a great transitional pattern for the warmer seasons as it’s so pretty. The colour contrast with this particular 50’s short style creates a really fun look. I also love how the belt sinches in just at the smallest point on your body which makes it very flattering. Team this dress with some heels, dark blue evening bag and a fascinator for a wedding, or maybe some kitten heels and a basket bag for cute christening look.
I love black and it’s always good to have little black dress in your wardrobe as t’s a great base to go back to for most events. This Black Lace V Bar Dip Hem is super cool. The dip hem, off the shoulder style and lace make this super special so save this for an event where you want to wow. Pop your hair up, add some long earrings, killer heels and a shawl.
For the third dress I’ve chosen a dim hem dress again as it’s an easy style to wear and it looks great. The Navy and Cream Bandeau mermaid dress is gorgeous with the colour contrast. Love how this draws your eye to the smallest part of your body with the bands around the waist and top line. It’s so flattering. It would be great for a work do or maybe a posh drinks event. Again I would team this dress with a pair of killer heels, maybe a barely there nude coloured sandal or a sparkly silver pair for the warmer months and a statement clutch. This dress comes in a nude too.
Let me know if you’re loving these dresses for any special events coming up and if you’ll be running to buy one in the comments below or over on Twitter.
